Honestly, this school is amazing. I have been here since kindergarten and am now a freshman. There are small things that could be different. I feel Pingry could work on "sheltering" less. If there's anything would probably be from my personal life, not because Pingry has exposed me to it. This has had such a big impact in my life because I can tell when I am around my friends they act differently towards me than to our other friends. Like sharing something funny on their phones and saying that I wouldn't get it. I love this school a lot, but I feel like I am this perfect little private school girl who has no clue what happens around in other aspects of life. This school does a great job of getting us ready for college in terms of academics, but in terms of social comfort zones, not so much. At my school there's friends groups and cliques. I attended Kent Place School from 2nd grade up until I graduated! When I was enrolled as a student, I strongly disliked the all-girls aspect of the school, however, now as an alumna, I believe that it served as quite a benefit. I was South jersey private education to focus exclusively on academics and was not distracted by the need to impress boys because they weren't present! As a result, my reading comprehension, writing, mathematics, and foreign language skills were strengthened and I truly learned the value of a quality education. I absolutely loved my teachers and they were always open to helping me outside of class. Regarding some of the more negative aspects, I believe that the price tag on this school is a bit high. In addition, I felt there was a sense of competitiveness among my class due to the fact that there were such small class sizes and I disliked the pettiness that circulated the halls. Overall, however, Kent Place is a Large group icebreakers school with very high quality education. What we have appreciated the most are: Our kids were and are well prepared for the next level school. Our oldest one was just accepted on one of the top Universities in the area. They really invest to your children's future. We consider these years of education very important for our children further education that is why we choose Chapin and Chapin School has delivered on it. The academics of The Lawrenceville are among the best. The teachers are all qualified and have extensive experience from the best high schools and colleges. The school offers many college level courses covering a variety of topics. Most of the teachers are very proud of being the lifetime learners, and they are the role models to the students. I appreciate the efforts to make the campus even more beautiful through various construction projects. Newark Academy is a great school with great people and it has prepared me well to start college in the fall. NA's emphasis on student led learning allows its students develop significant over their time at NA. Also, because of both school size and school spirit, one interesting thing you'll find about NA's student body is that everyone is incredibly involved in student life. Most people play a sport, are involved in at least one club and often times fit in an art as well.
